The technical skills required by nomad or portable career entrepreneurs cover a huge range from phone, fax, and email, to virtual reality communities, wikis, large-file sharing, videos, tele-seminars, ‘meshing’, membership sites, and more.

The extent to which your portable enterprise is technologically sophisticated depends on a number of issues including, but not limited to:

  • the type of business you are developing,
  • your comfort zone,
  • your client’s expectations and assumptions,
  • your technological literacy level, etc.
